Bush vetch (Vicia sepium)

Collins, 130; Readers Digest, 124

This medium to tall rambling perennial has blue-purple flowers which can be seen between April and November.  The seedpods are black.  It frequents hedgy bushy places where it can find support.  Bush Vetch is very attractive to bumble bees who force their way into the tightly sealed flower bases for its nectar.
